The Health Ministry said on Monday that the Public Health Institute had registered 64 cured coronavirus patients. “Over the past 24 hours, there have been 145 tests and 22 new COVID-19 cases,” it was added. Most of the new cases are in Skopje (13), while the rest are in Tetovo (7) and Prilep (2). Since the start of the epidemic, there have been 1,664 cases, 1,200 cured patients, and 91 deaths. The number of active cases is currently 373. The EU said that following previous deliveries to Italy, Spain and Croatia, more batches of FFP2 masks were being delivered to Macedonia and Montenegro from rescEU – the common European reserve of medical equipment to help countries affected by the coronavirus outbreak. “I am proud to see further protective equipment being mobilised from our rescEU reserve. With these new batches of protective masks to North Macedonia and Montenegro we will give protection to healthcare and other essential workers,” the Commissioner for Crisis Management, Janez Lenarcic, stated. According to Sitel TV, the meeting of the Contagious Diseases Commission, due to the increased number of cases, saw no discussion on the issue of relaxation of the measures.
