Karakachanov: Macedonia to fully implement Agreement with Bulgaria, Greece

The Bulgarian Vice-PM and Defence Minister Krasimir Karakachanov said in an interview for the Bulgarian radio Fokus that Macedonia has to fulfill all obligations from the agreements signed with Bulgaria and Greece in order to become NATO and EU member. “Official Skopje took the responsibility to conduct all obligations contained in the Prespa Agreement with Greece and the Good-neighbourliness Agreement with Bulgaria. This of course includes full elimination of all forms of irredentism, including the fake information in history textbooks written in the past 70 years,” Karakachanov said. Bulgarian Foreign Affairs Minister Ekaterina Zakharieva, in an interview for BGNES, says that the membership of Macedonia in NATO and EU is a national interest of Bulgaria. “The Bulgarian Parliament will be among the first countries to ratify the NATO Protocol for Accession of Macedonia in the following days,” Zakharieva says.
