Kyuchyuk: I Believe That Good Neighbourly Relations Have No Alternative

“All politicians who want the Republic of North Macedonia and the whole region to be in NATO and the European Union are working for positive development. I believe that good neighbourly relations have no alternative. The success of North Macedonia is success for the whole region and a success for the EU,” said in Skopje MEP Ilhan Kyuchyuk. As rapporteur for the country in the European Parliament, he said that he works actively with both the ruling parties and the opposition, as well as that he has frequent meetings with representatives of the civil sector. “A report is forthcoming, which will reflect the positive tendencies in the country, but also what needs to be done in the coming months, the reforms, which need to be deepened. I really believe that there is no full stop in diplomacy, there is only a comma. All diplomatic and political efforts should be made to achieve the goal, which is much greater than that Bulgaria and North Macedonia have good relations. It is linked to moving the entire region towards the EU,” Kyuchyuk said, along with First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Political System and Inter-Community Relations Artan Grubi and Cair Mayor Visar Ganiu. Accompanied by them, MEP Kyuchyuk visited the primary school “Ismail Qemali” in Cair, whose five students died in the great traffic tragedy in Bulgaria. According to Grubi, the visit to this municipal primary school was realized at the request of the MEP himself.
