The German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that she will invest all her political power in the initiative for Macedonia to get a date for start of membership negotiations with the EU till October 2019. “I will do all I can to make this decision come true, because North Macedonia did an outstanding job with the Prespa Agreement. I discussed this matter with the other European leaders, and I am convinced we will determine a date by October, and I shall do al in my power to convince other EU member-states to support the decision,” Merkel said while in Brussels.
