MPs Adopt New Measures Against COVID-19

With 53 votes in favour and 26 abstentions, MPs voted on the amendments to the Law on Protection of the Population from Infectious Diseases. The law, whose amendments are related to measures to deal with the coronavirus, was adopted in a shortened procedure. The amendment accepted during the committee hearing is related to the Government’s measures for wearing a mask outdoors, grouping in open space and mandatory self-isolation during the testing period. These are envisaged to be temporary measures. The law also regulates self-isolation, i.e. mandatory self-isolation when being tested for COVID-19 from scheduling the test or the test itself until obtaining the results.
