Deputy PM for European Affairs Bujar Osmani spoke via video link to the EU Enlargement Commissioners Oliver Varhelyi about the activities of the government in the process of handling the coronavirus epidemic. As Osmani informed, EU has reached a decision to grant access to Macedonia to the EU Solidarity Fund. “The immediate support in the amount of 4 million euros and over 60 million euros from the IPA funds for social and economic recovery amounts for significant support from the European Union. We are also pleased by the fact that the country is becoming a part of the common European mechanism for COVID-19 protection and joint procurement of medical equipment,” said Osmani. Osmani also thanked Varhelyi for his contribution to the decision reached by the EU to approve start membership negotiations with Macedonia.
