Osmani: Last Meeting with Genchoska Was One of Better Ones

In an interview with Sitel TV on Thursday, Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani said the last meeting with Bulgarian counterpart Teodora Genchovska was one of the better meetings. Despite the assessment, he pointed out that he couldn’t predict whether a solution would be found. Regarding the Vancho Mihailov club fire, Osmani’s stand is that it hasn’t affected the negotiations. As far as the issue of a French proposal is concerned, Osmani, like PM Dimitar Kovacevski, confirmed there was no concrete proposal, but rather just strong engagement from France. Regarding France offering some guarantees for Bulgaria, that is, whether all demands by Sofia will enter the negotiating framework for the EU, the Foreign Minister described that as speculation.
