On Wednesday, Parliament, within the frameworks of the 90th session, adopted in first reading the set of laws to reform the security-intelligence community. They will see, among other things, transformation of the Security of Counter-Intelligence Administration into a National Security Agency. The draft laws on the Agency, coordination of the security-intelligence community, communication interception, foreigners and internal affairs will head to second reading. The latter three will only see adjustment of the text because of the formation of the new Agency. Though opposition MPs participated in the preparation of the texts the parliamentary debate was marked by accusations between VMRO-DPMNE and SDSM MPs.
