The President of Macedonia Stevo Pendarovski said during the talk show “Detektor” on Sitel TV that he is not convinced that there will be election at all. “I am not convinced, because it does not depend on me only. The Parliament can be dissolved only with a positive vote from a parliamentary majority, or in our case, at least 61 MPs. I don’t see a major difference about whether we are to have snap or regular parliamentary election,” Pendarovski said. The leader of VMRO-DPMNE Hristijan Mickoski reacted to this statement. “When we had a leader’s meeting with the President we all agreed to hold snap elections in April 2020. There are no alternatives to this plan, and if Pendarovski is indecisive, then VMRO-DPMNE may reconsider its cooperation with him,” Mickoski said.
