In his speech at the Kale Fortress on the occasion of Day of the Republic – Ilinden, PM Dimitar Kovacevski described the resolve and the uniting spirit of Ilinden, the firm belief, and persistence as the roadmap towards the future.
At the central marking of the holiday, Kovacevski added that since the NATO integration, there were open perspectives for EU membership too. However, the PM called on MPs to make, as he said, a statesperson-like decision, in order for the “path of progress” to continue.
Kovacevski’s warning is that North Macedonia must not stay isolated. “We shouldn’t be worried because Europe needs us as much as we need the Union,” the PM noted.
