PM Dimitar Kovacevski paid an official visit to Slovenia on Monday, during which he held meetings with Slovenian PM Robert Golob, President Natasa Pric-Musar, FM Tanja Fajon and Digitalisation Minister Emilija Stojmenova-Duh. Kovacevski and Golob discussed the processes for integration of North Macedonia in the EU which started in 2022, with both of them concluding that this is a process that must not be halted. “The change of the Constitution is a rather difficult process, but it has to happen. It is a historical opportunity which has nothing to do with party affiliation. We are aware that there are centres of power which do not want this process to continue, which is why we voice unreserved support to North Macedonia on their way towards full integration in the EU,” Golob said. Kovacevski praised the excellent bilateral relations between North Macedonia and Slovenia, and discussed with Golob possibilities for further improvement, especially in the field of economic cooperation. Kovacevski also discussed the EU integration processes with Slovenian President Natasa Pric-Musar, as well as about the overall cooperation and friendship between the two countries, with Pric-Musar confirming that she will visit North Macedonia in the period to come.
