PM Zoran Zaev isn’t discouraged by French President Emmanuel Macron’s stands on enlargement. He is optimistic that Macedonia still has the chance for the European perspective with the new composition of the EU institutions, too. “It’s about Member States that are friends of the country,” he said on Wednesday. According to the PM, Macedonia has delivered in the field of political issues and is expecting the reward. Zaev is convinced that October will see Macedonia get the date, regardless of Macron’s statements. Regarding Germany’s Ursula von der Leyen, who’s been nominated to lead the European Commission, Zaev said she, too, was an honest friend of Macedonia.
