The candidates for the upcoming presidential election officially started on Monday their pre-electoral campaign. The presidential candidates, along with members of their electoral headquarters and the political parties backing their bids, will take part in numerous tribunes, press conferences and other activities throughout Macedonia till 19 April. The candidate supported by the ruling alliance of SDSM and DUI Stevo Pendarovski will start his first campaign activities in Prilep, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova backed by VMRO-DPMNE will start her campaign in her hometown Ohrid, while the candidate of the Albanian opposition bloc Blerim Reka will start his campaign in Skopje. The first round of the presidential election is scheduled for 21 April, while the second one for 5 May.
