The parliamentary Committee on National Reconciliation has finalised the draft-law on amnesty concerning the “27 April Parliament Incidents” case. “We reached a consensus that was accepted by all the members of the committee. The draft-law predicts amnesty for people involved in the incidents who have neither committed violence or were the organisers of the incidents. The defendants will be given an opportunity to choose whether they accept the amnesty or want the cases against them to be processed to the very end,” said the member of the Reconciliation Committee Zekir Ramcilovic. The 8 MPs from VMRO-DPMNE that provided support to the adoption of the Prespa Agreement in the Parliament, conditioned their further support with the law on amnesty for defendants in the trial about the Parliament Incidents from 27 April 2017.
