Results of Early Local Election in Debar, Novo Selo and Ohrid

Parallel with the 2019 presidential election in Macedonia, early local election was organised in three Macedonian municipalities: Debar, Novo Selo and Ohrid. In Debar, the candidate of DUI Hekuran Duka won the majority of votes (4,106, 50.09 %) ahead of the AA candidate Arben Agolli (3,834, 46.77 %). In Ohrid, the candidate of SDSM Konstantin Georgieski who won 11,819 votes (46.39 %) will face in the second round Mitre Milosevski from VMRO-DPMNE who won 9,581 votes (37.6 %). In Novo Selo the candidate of VMRO-DPMNE Nikola Stoilkov (2,753 votes or 46.91 %) and the candidate of SDSM Nikola Andonov (2,693 or 48.53 %) will also face each other in the 2nd round. The local election in these municipalities was held after the death of Debar Mayor Ruzhdi Lata and Ohrid Mayor Jovan Stojanoski, and the resignation from the position of Novo Selo Mayor Boro Stojcev.
