SDSM and VMRO-DPMNE Gearing up for Election-related Activities

On Tuesday, SDSM’s Jagoda Sahpaska voiced satisfaction with the work of the parliamentary composition led by her party. “It will be remembered for the key decisions that have brought back our country on the world map,” she said, describing Macedonia as a positive example both in the Balkans and around the world. At the press-conference, Sahpaska, talked about many, as she said, positive developments, including the minimum wage increase, the status of bankruptcy workers, reduction of fines, introduction of a social pension for citizens not meeting retirement conditions, and the VAT return project. The same day, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski presented parts of his party’s plans. According to him, there will be two billion euros in investments in road infrastructure. As far as VMRO-DPMNE’s list of candidates for the elections is concerned, Mickoski said the names would be known by 10 March.
