SDSM, VMRO-DPMNE yet to schedule Meeting over Draft-Law on PPO

The negotiations between the government and the opposition concerning the adoption of a new Law on Public Prosecution (PPO) are currently resting, and it has been a while since the last meeting of the negotiating teams of the two sides. Both SDSM and VMRO-DPMNE state that their respective negotiating teams are communicating constantly, but they are yet to reach an agreement over a new meeting. From the ruling party SDSM they state that the adoption of the current draft-law is important for Macedonia to start the membership negotiations with the EU this October, but from VMRO-DPMNE they insist on changes in relation to the future functioning of the Special Public Prosecution, and condition their support for the draft-law with organisation of snap parliamentary election as soon as possible.
