SEC: COVID-19 Positive Citizens Voting Conducted Generally Well

The State Electoral Commission (SEC) confirmed at a press conference on Monday evening that the first day of voting at the 2020 early parliamentary election went on in a democratic atmosphere, with respect of all healthcare measures against COVID-19. “759 citizens in home isolation due to COVID-19 applied to SEC for realisation of their right to vote in their homes, and of these 723 have voted today. I must point out that this election is conducted in rather complicated conditions due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which is why I would like to thank all the medical professionals that assisted us in this process, as well as all SEC employees and members of municipal electoral commissions for the extreme professionalism demonstrated today,” said SEC President Oliver Derkoski.
