The Minister of Interior, Oliver Spasovski at a press conference with details of the action in which nine police officers were arrested for forging passports, and another is wanted. The investigation, which lasted more than a year, was coordinated by the US Embassy Investigation Office and Interpol. The employees issued passports with fake, foreign identities of persons, foreign citizens with data as if they were Macedonian citizens, informs Spasovski. They abused their position and authority, with which 215 persons obtained such passports, for which there was no biometric data, and information taken from Macedonian citizens was used for the passports. Among them, there are members of international criminal groups, drug cartels and other criminals who were in Interpol files.
