Government spokesperson Mile Bosnjakovski said at a press-conference on Wednesday that former PM Nikola Gruevski will return to Macedonia and serve jail time in the country. According to him, the allegations in the asylum request are completely false. “We expect that the Hungarian authorities will recall the asylum decision and that Gruevski will be extradited. The extradition procedure has started. The documentation has been sent to Hungary’s Government,” Bosnjakovski noted. Asked about the oversights and the issue of accountability, he stated that two procedures were underway within the frameworks of the Interior Ministry. “Once all pieces of information are established, in-depth and comprehensive, they will be presented publicly,” the spokesperson added.
