Supreme Court Annuls Verdict in Pancevski Case

Former Criminal Court President Vladimir Pancevski will be free after around 10 days following the start of his prison sentence of 2.6 years. The Supreme Court, following extraordinary re-examination of the verdicts by the Basic Court in Veles and the Court of Appeals in Skopje, has decided to annul the effective verdict and return the case to retrial in the frames of the Court of Appeals in the capital. Pancevski was convicted in the frames of the ACCMIS case, that is, because he would manually allocate court cases instead of using the computer system.
