The third Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever (CCHF) case has been registered in the country.
A 42-year-old Veles man was most likely bitten by a tick while he was fishing. For now, his condition is stable, according to the Infectious Diseases Clinic, where he’s been hospitalised.
“We are treating this in a multidisciplinary manner, with colleagues from the Transfusiology Clinic,” Infectious Diseases Clinic Director Milena Stevanovic said on Monday.
