US Committee on Foreign Affairs Ratifies NATO Protocol for Macedonia

The Secretary General of SDSM Ljupco Nikolovski announced via his Facebook profile that the Committee on Foreign Affairs at the US Senate has officially ratified the NATO Protocol for Accession of Macedonia in the Alliance. “The Committee on Foreign Affairs at the US Senate ratified the NATO Protocol. We are realising one of the greatest strategic goals of our country. North Macedonia is becoming the 30^th NATO member-state,” Nikolovski wrote on Facebook. The same information was also shared by Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov, who published on Facebook a photo of him and the US Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia Philip Reeker having a toast in a restaurant. “The ratification of the Protocol for Accession of Macedonia in NATO finally happened. A toast with Mr. Reeker, for our future partnership as allies,” Dimitrov wrote on Facebook. Reeker is to have meetings with Dimitrov and PM Zoran Zaev on Friday.
