According to VMRO-DPMNE President Hristijan Mickoski, the energy should be directed at meeting European standards. “This is our priority,” he told the Serbian newspaper Politika. Mickoski believes in the mandate theory, which, in his view, means that a party participates in elections with programmes and promises to its voters over what work it will do in the period ahead. The opposition party remains of the opinion that early elections are the only solution to the country’s problems. When it comes to Alliance for Albanians, Arben Taravari’s party will this week form a commission that would negotiate on potentially joining the Government. Officially, there are no talks between PM Dimitar Kovacevski and Arben Taravari, but, according to party information, Alliance for Albanians has already been offered the positions of Minister of Justice, Minister of Health, several posts of deputy minister, and directorial positions.
