Zaev and VMRO-DPMNE Adhere to Stands on Bulgaria Issue

North Macedonia doesn’t accept the Declaration voted through by Bulgarian Parliament, according to PM Zoran Zaev. As he said on Friday, the proposal submitted by Portugal is on the table. The PM urged the Council to green-light the Europeanisation of the country and Western Balkans. VMRO-DPMNE and its leader, Hristijan Mickoski, however, once again accused Zaev of being part of secret negotiations with Sofia. The opposition party suspects Zaev will sign an annex or another form of guarantee that will mean acceptance of the positions voted through in Sofia. The Government and SDSM again denied there were secret negotiations. The ruling party also stated that Mickoski was undermining national interests.
