Asked to comment on the escape of the former PM Nikola Gruevski, PM Zoran Zaev told N1 TV that it is worthy to mention the fact that current VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski met Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and the Hungarian PM Viktor Orban a month before Gruevski’s escape. “A month before Gruevski’s escape, Mickoski had meetings with Vucic and Orban in Belgrade and Budapest respectively, and still there is no public information about what Mickoski discussed with them. So far, we have information that he fled Macedonia through Albania, Montenegro and Serbia, reaching Hungary, where he got political asylum,” Zaev says. The Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic reacted to the interview. “I really apologize that there was no press release after the meeting I had with Mickoski and Zaev refers to. I shall see that this does not happen again in future,” Vucic said, adding that he did not meet Gruevski after his escape.
