According to PM Zoran Zaev, regardless of the decisions in Brussels, there is no need for early elections. Answering a journalist’s question about the negotiations date issue, he said on Tuesday that he was just one politician, adding that there were “other politicians and political parties”. On the other hand, VMRO-DPMNE said that early elections had to be held regardless of the developments related to the date. Hristijan Mickoski’s party considers that even if a date is given and negotiations start, Zaev and those around him don’t have the capacity for negotaitions. The PM considers that the dramatic situation will last “until the final minute”. In his view, the final decision will be made by the countries’ leaders. On Wednesday, the PM will travel to Brussels for a final lobbying attempt.
