20 Flights Canceled due to Thick Fog in Skopje

The thick fog in Skopje has caused issues also at the airport in the capital. From midnight to noon on Sunday, 20 flights were canceled while one was diverted. However, the airport hasn’t been closed. Nonetheless, TAV Macedonia, considering the constant changes of weather conditions, has called on all passengers to get all information from airlines.

None of the six WizzAir planes stationed in the Skopje base managed to land in the capital on Saturday. The flights were diverted to Pristina, Sofia, Tirana, Ohrid, and Thessaloniki. That day, only three planes managed to land in Skopje, while as many managed to take off.

According to the Hydrometeorology Service, the fog situation will continue until the end of Tuesday, when there will be rainfall. In the coming days, there will be snow at some places at a greater altitude.
