2,691 Diaspora Members to Vote in Presidential Election

Just 2,691 diaspora members, in 24 countries, will vote in the presidential elections.

It is estimated that around one million euros will be spent on organising the voting process, as well as on the stay abroad of members of election boards, which consist of ten persons.

In China, where just 12 people have registered to vote, an entire board will need to spend two weeks. The costs will be covered by the state. Most diaspora voters, 594, live in Germany, while in the US, 244 expatriates will vote.
