Accusations over Destabilisation and Vetting Issues Continue

On Sunday, VMRO-DPMNE and SDSM continued to trade accusations over the destabilisation issue, that is, over PM Hristijan Mickoski’s comments on an alleged destabilisation plan by DUI.

“When will the party leader, Venko Filipce, muster up the courage to condemn DUI? Or he hopes that they, too, will be organising protests when he and his corrupt officials will need to be held liable,” the ruling party said.

In response, SDSM said VMRO-DPMNE was acting like a tabloid that was spreading speculations.

“Go ahead, prove your allegations,” Filipce’s party said.

When it comes to the vetting issue, VLEN said the US blacklist was the most credible vetting, reiterating that DUI’s Ramiz Merko, Mayor of Struga, and DPA leader Menduh Thaci, part of the DUI-led European Front coalition, were on the list.

DUI said in response it was concerned by the reaction to its stand on international vetting that, according to the party, would end urban crime too.
