VLEN co-leader Arben Taravari responded on Monday to DUI leader Ali Ahmeti’s call for VLEN to leave the government and for them to form a joint coalition.
“First, Mister Ahmeti needs reforms, adaptation, and a cause. He needs to come out and tell us what he wants. We are open to sitting down at the table. We communicate with all political parties, without exceptions. So, we have nothing against communicating with him too. However, let him start with reforms. That’s very important to us,” he stated.
According to Taravari, the fact that VLEN got 107,000 votes in the elections shows problems with DUI’s functioning.
“That’s the biggest number of votes for the ethnic Albanian opposition since 1991, when elections started to be organised in Macedonia,” the VLEN co-leader underlined.
