Another petition has been filed before the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC) alleging conflict of interest in the race for the position of North Macedonia judge at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.
According to the petition, there is conflict since Academy for Judges and Public Prosecutors Director Irina Trajkoska Strezoski is a member of the commission in charge of the process, while the Deputy Director, Ilir Iseni, is among the candidates.
The Director told Telma on Monday that she’d learned the petition had been filed from media.
However, she added that there was no conflict of interest because it was the Academy’s Managing Board, not the Director, that elected the Deputy Director. Trajkoska Strezoski also stated that Iseni had applied in the frames of the previous competition, too, when there had been no petition.
