The antismoking bill is in its final phase. It is expected to pass the last procedures within the Government on Tuesday and be submitted to Parliament afterwards. Concessions have been made regarding hospitality venues.
Instead of terraces being open on three sides, now, the requirement will concern two sides. However, that requirement will enter into force in one year. The Government has also abandoned its initial idea to ban the import of all flavored variations. However, the ban will remain in force for all enclosed spaces.
“Believe me, inspections will be rigorous across the entire territory of the country. I repeat this, across the entire territory of the country. There will be no privileged regions, cities, settlements”, PM Mickoski said on Saturday, adding that everyone would face consequences for breaking the law.
