Arson Attack on Bulgarian Embassy Vehicles: Dashkovski Stojanovski Confesses

Igor Dashkovski Stojanovski, who is charged with setting fire to vehicles outside the Bulgarian Embassy, has pleaded guilty. He is charged with endangering internationally protected persons.

According to the indictment, wearing a T-shirt bearing the image of Goce Delchev on June 15 of this year, he arrived by bus at a gas station, filled a bottle with gasoline, and used it to set fire to vehicles parked outside the Embassy. In doing so, he caused material damage, as well as a sense of insecurity and fear. At Friday’s hearing, he stated that he’d committed all of that and was confessing consciously and without any pressure.

During the investigation, the Bulgarian Ambassador to the country, Zhelyazko Radukov, was summoned to give a statement, but was out of the country.
