Regarding the actions by Cair Mayor Visar Ganiu, who, accompanied by around 30 citizens, poured waste from a lorry outside the City of Skopje’s premises, the capital’s Mayor, Danela Arsovska, has said it is about construction waste from the illegal structures in Cair. She claims their number to be 150, while Ganiu has committed falsification.
However, Ganiu, who’s part of VLEN, has rejected the accusations, adding that there are municipalities with more illegal facilities than his.
Commenting on the matter, VLEN’s Izet Mexhiti, who serves as 1st Deputy PM and Environment and Physical Planning, fiercely criticises Arsovska, saying hers has been the worst mayoral term in the history of the capital. He adds that he will even file a criminal charge.
Regarding the suspicions of illegal buildings in Cair, the Prosecutor’s Office has said that it has taken action since it received the notification from the Interior Ministry.
