“I can’t wait”, Skopje Mayor Danela Arsovska said at a briefing with journalists Thursday in response to Cair Mayor Visar Ganiu’s comments that he would file a defamation lawsuit against her over the issue of illegal structures.
Regarding his stand that she’s working for DUI to discredit him, the Skopje Mayor stated that it was about accountability, not about politics.
“Let that criminal sue. It will be my pleasure to confront him with all these evidence in any manner or on any platform”, Arsovska added.
Arsovska was presenting documents related to “illegal structures” in Cair for more than three hours at the briefing. The City of Skopje, she underlined, has checked the other municipalities in the capital, too.
“There is no other municipality in the city of Skopje where a crime of such proportions has been committed. None. I stand by these comments responsibly. Considering in all other nine municipalities, utility fees have been paid, project documentations have been submitted, amounts would be paid that the City collects through taxes and fees and then splits with a municipality, we cannot say that a crime of such proportion would be committed anywhere”, the City of Skopje Mayor stressed.
