The Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services (AVMU) expressed concern over ongoing labeling and public attacks by SDSM against certain journalists and outlets.
AVMU reminded that freedom of expression, media pluralism, and editorial independence are core democratic values. It warned that discrediting journalists creates pressure, undermines public dialogue, and threatens their safety and integrity.
The agency urged all political actors to avoid rhetoric that fuels polarization or discredits the media, and to respect their constitutional and professional role in democracy.
