The Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office for Prosecuting Organized Crime and Corruption is investigating whether Peco Veziroski, who heads the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Bitola, intervened with judges and prosecutors regarding cases. At least four cases are under investigation.
Veziroski became known to the public for his actions in the case involving the owner of Markovski Kompani, but the Office stated that the case was not among the initial four under investigation.
On Wednesday, Veziroski gave a statement before a preliminary procedure judge, after which his passport was confiscated and he was issued a ban on undertaking specific work-related activities.
