Bogoev Case: Appeal and 55,000-euro Bail Accepted

The former director of the Customs Administration, Stefan Bogoev, is being released from detention. The Criminal Court has accepted the appeal and offered bail of 55,000 euros.

Precautionary measures have been issued: temporary confiscation of his travel document and a ban on crossing the state border.

Bogoev is suspected of rigging a tender worth over 300,000 euros and receiving a kickback of 1,800 euros. He is one of four suspects in the case, which concerns the tender won by Remondis Medison for the external maintenance of hygiene at border crossings and terminals.
