Bulgaria doesn’t have other conditions for North Macedonia except those referred to in the French proposal, but, at the same time, Sofia confirms its unchangeable position with regards to the matter of fulfilment by Skopje of obligations assumed in the 2022 deal with the EU.
That’s part of what has been delivered, in writing, too, by Bulgaria’s diplomacy to that of North Macedonia.
In a phone conversation between counterparts Timco Mucunski and Georg Georgiev, the latter briefed the former on his country’s Parliament’s new resolution. According to the Bulgarian Foreign Minister, that represents a clear signal of his country’s constructive approach with regards to North Macedonia’s EU road.
“It’s an especially important point that the text of the decision of the highest organ in the Bulgarian state confirms that the country doesn’t have other conditions except the elements of the European consensus”, Georgiev’s Ministry said regarding the conversation.
However, the Bulgarian Minister called on the cabinet in Skopje to implement reached agreements.
