After midnight on Tuesday, a pipe from the aging utility installation burst in the Nova Makedonija building in Centar Municipality, Skopje, which houses the Ministry of Education and Science, the State Election Commission (SEC), and other state institutions.
Water flooded the premises and reached parts of the electrical installation and electricity meters. Preventively, electricity was disconnected at the facility. 5-6 days will be needed for complete repair.
Regarding the situation, the Government adopted a conclusion recommending that the institutions housed in the building reorganize their current operations, i.e., that employees temporarily perform their work duties by working from home.
