The Italian Embassy in Skopje has sent a note to North Macedonia’s Foreign Ministry saying that a businessperson wanted to sell its Vodno residence by using an illegal document, the Timco Mucunski-headed institution confirmed for Telma on Monday, adding that the note had been forwarded to relevant institution for proper action.
The scandal was revealed by the NetPress portal, according to whose documents, the businessperson, Aleksandar Ivanovski, who’s in the construction business, allegedly received authorisation to sell a land parcel and facility in the settlement of Vodno, which is in fact the Italian Ambassador’s Residence.
“Distinguished Mister Ivanovski, regarding your 6 August 2024 request in which you requested consent, in writing from this Embassy, to sell the property located on Slavejko Arsov 146 Street, we want to notify you that our Embassy is giving consent for a pre-contract to sell real estate to be signed. We remain available in the future too. Respectfully, Ambassador Andrea Silvestri,” reads the official translation of the illegally prepared document.
The Embassy obtained the fake document and notified the Ministry on 5 December. The only businessman with that name in the construction sector, Aleksandar Ivanovski (aka Alek Terranova), is the co-owner of Develop Group.
