Chief Prosecutor Kocevski without Details on Action over Blacklisted Persons

On Wednesday, Chief Public Prosecutor Ljupco Kocevski, asked about the action of his Office over the persons so far blacklisted by the US, said that activities were being taken.

However, he didn’t reveal which persons those activities covered and what type of action was underway. There was no clear answer to the question as to whether the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office had contacted US authorities to potentially get the evidence used to blacklist the people either.

“We cannot share any concrete information considering the Office is carrying out activities. However, we cannot reveal the type of activities and over which persons,” Kocevski stressed.

When it comes to the restrictive measures law, it is becoming more and more certain that it will be considered by the next composition of Parliament, taking into account that it is still not part of Foreign Policy Committee agenda.
