On Tuesday, closing arguments were held at the Basic Court in Kumanovo in the trial of suspected serial killer Trajko Bojkovski from Staro Nagorichane, who is charged with four murders and two attempted murders.
Prosecutor Ljubomir Lape asked for the maximum sentence of life imprisonment. The defendant, he said, selected his victims by gender, stalked them, and attacked them with the aim of satisfying necrophilic urges.
Toni Cvetkovski, the ex-officio defense counsel appointed to Bojkovski, opened his closing arguments by extending condolences to the families who lost their loved ones. He addressed Bojkovski’s denial that he committed the murder of the late Stanche Karevska from the village of Klechovce. The verdict is scheduled for Friday.
