On Wednesday, after her election as the Enlargement Commissioner, Marta Kos, again said North Macedonia was expected to adopt the constitutional changes.
However, she stated that she couldn’t answer the question about whether there could be guarantees that there would be no more blockades. In that regard, the Commissioner promised she would talk as much as possible with Skopje and Sofia.
The same day, the EP’s new Rapporteur for North Macedonia, Austrian MEP Thomas Waitz, said that he saw in the new government in Skopje readiness to move forward on the Integration path. In his view, though the Constitution must be changed, it must also be ensured that there will be no additional requirements.
