Council of Prosecutors to Present Opinion on Kocevski Matter within 15 Days

Commenting on the Government’s decision to initiate a procedure to dismiss Ljupco Kocevski as Chief Prosecutor, Council of Public Prosecutors President Dusica Dimitrieska said on Wednesday her institution would present an opinion (a positive or negative one) within the legal deadline of 15 days.

Regarding the Council’s appointment of Natasa Krstevska Caleva as temporary head of the Skopje Higher Prosecutor’s Office, one of the reasons behind the Government’s decision, Dimitrieska stated that it had been a unanimous and lawful one because of Mustafa Hajrullahi’s suspension.

However, the same day, PM Hristijan Mickoski said Kocevski had a chance to show he was an uncompromising fighter for justice and against those cases where there was reasonable doubt of committed crime.

“However, it’s obvious that making excuses and buying time are someone’s trait”, the PM noted.
