A fruitless discussion on the seven-year budget, addressing trade imbalances, and energetic debates on energy and migration policies of the EU were, in short, the topics on the highly ambitious agenda of the two-day European Council summit that concluded on Friday in Brussels.
The topic of enlargement was overshadowed by Croatian objections regarding Montenegro’s accession, which resulted in Zagreb’s demands being accepted.
