In the Thaler case, as a result of the Criminal Code changes, the statute of limitations concerning the act of abuse of official position for ex-Minister of Transport and Communications Mile Janakieski, will expire.
The proposal was made at Wednesday’s hearing by Prosecutor Lence Ristovska, while the decision is expected to be made at the next one. The lawyers representing VMRO-DPMNE, ex-MP Ilija Dimovski, and former Government Secretary General Kiril Bozinovski requested Judge Osman Shabani to make a decision on expiration in their respective cases too.
Shabani will voice a stand on the proposals at the next hearing, scheduled for 10 November.
