Data: Pardon Draft-Law to Cover around 10% of Convicted Persons

The Pardon Draft-Law will cover around 10% of convicted persons. Data of the Administration for Execution of Sanctions shows that around 250 of 2,345 prisoners will no longer be behind bars.

The Justice Ministry’s stand is that the goal is to solve the prison overcrowding problem. PM Dimitar Kovacevski, too, said the adoption would solve that problem. As he added, work efficiency will be increased too.

Commenting on the fact that VMRO-DPMNE is not supporting the document, the PM stated that it was about “blockades without arguments”.
