At a debate in Parliament, Deputy European Affairs Minister Trajkov said that consistent implementation of obligations stemming from the Berlin Process and Reform Agenda was a top priority for the cabinet. She added that that was not just an obligation, but also a need for everyone.
The Democracy Institute’s Marko Troshanovski stated that part of the deadlines and obligations the country had in the frames of the reform agenda were overdue in many fundamental and crucial sectors.
“We had an announcement two weeks ago by Deputy PM Fetai that we could expect the criminal code, in a certain format, by the end of the year, which would be a nice New Year’s congratulatory message for us, but also significant contribution in terms of what’s referred to as fundamentals, i.e. the reform area from the Reform Agenda that concerns the fight against corruption and the rule of law, but also other laws for which the wait is on in the area of judiciary”, he noted.
